The Food Assistance Program provides eligible food aid to eligible low-income families and individuals, available from the Department of Agriculture.
Eligibility depends on the financial status of all members of the household.
Everyone who lives together, buys and prepares food together is considered to be a member of the same home group.
Generally, they will review your expenses, assets and income to determine what benefits, if any, you may qualify for.
Application process Or you must fill out and submit a request to determine if you are able to receive assistance with assistance such as food, Medicaid, child care, temporary money, an emergency, etc., through MDHHS.
When submitting a request, you may need to provide information about all members in your home.

Applications can be delivered by hand, by post or fax to their local office.
Customers are given a Michigan Bridge card for certain food purchases and access to a number of retailers and ATMs throughout the state Cash Offers.
