Food Aid Program Temporary food aid for eligible families and low-income individuals is available from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.



Eligibility is based on the financial situation of all household members.


Everyone who lives together and buys and prepares food together is considered a member of the same family group.

Customers are issued a Michigan bridge card to purchase certain food products and access cash benefits at various merchants and ATMs throughout the state.
