Food Aid Program Temporary Food Aid for Eligible Families and Low-Income Individuals is available from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Eligibility for eligibility is based on the financial situation of all family members. Everyone who lives together and buys and cooks together is considered to be a member of the same group of households. In general, we will review your expenses, assets, and income to determine which, if any, benefits you may be eligible for. Application process Or you must fill out and submit a request to determine if you are able to receive assistance with assistance such as food, Medicaid, child care, temporary money, an emergency, etc., through MDHHS. When you apply, you may need to provide information about all members of your family. The best way to determine the right and apply this online is through MI Bridges. Applications can be delivered manually, mailed or faxed to our local office. Customers are given the Michigan Bridge Card to purchase certain foods and access cash benefits at a number of retail stores and ATMs throughout the state.
