Food Assistance Program The U.S. Department of Agriculture provides temporary food assistance to eligible low-income families and individuals.

Eligibility is based on the financial situation of all members of a household.
Everyone who lives together, buys and cooks food is considered a member of the same household group.
In general, they will review your expenses, assets and income to determine what benefits you may be eligible for.
Application Process You must complete and submit an application to determine if you can receive assistance through MDHHS for food, Medicaid, child care, temporary cash, emergencies, etc.
