The Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare's seven program offices administer services that provide care and support to Pennsylvania's most vulnerable citizens. One of them is the Office of Income Maintenance who's services are:
The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families cash assistance program, also referred to as TANF;
Medical Assistance, often referred to as Medicaid;
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, known as SNAP, which is the new name for the food stamp program;
Home heating assistance, known formally as the LIHEAP program;
Employment and training services, and;
Child support
